AI & automation for Shopify and ecommerce brands

For a Shopify or BigCommerce brand, automation means the operational plumbing runs itself: stock that stays in sync, orders that flow to fulfilment without anyone re-keying them, lifecycle email that fires on real store events, and revenue that reconciles in Xero without a spreadsheet in the middle. The store scales without the owner's week disappearing into admin.

Most brands attempt this with marketplace apps and Shopify Flow, which cover the common case and stop at the edges. We build directly against the APIs: Shopify, BigCommerce, Klaviyo, and the Stripe and Xero rails behind them. Native integration means the automation fits how your store actually runs, and it reaches the back office, where storefront revenue reconciles itself instead of eating the bookkeeping day. Storefront and back office are the same job, and almost nobody wires them together.

We are also honest about when automation is not the fix. If the store's conversion fundamentals are broken, automating around them just makes the wrong thing happen faster. Small Planet is the proof: we fixed the BigCommerce site before scaling anything, and online revenue went from $30k to $300k+ inside 12 months.

/ What's included

Native platform integration

Built directly against the Shopify and BigCommerce APIs, not marketplace apps that stop at the edges. Product, order, and customer data flows where it needs to, on your store's terms.

Inventory and fulfilment automation

Stock levels synced across the storefront, suppliers, and the shop floor, with orders routed to fulfilment automatically. Only the genuine exceptions reach a person.

Lifecycle and back-office automation

Klaviyo flows wired to real store events rather than default triggers, and storefront revenue reconciled against Stripe payouts in Xero. The same back-office automation we build for accounting firms, pointed at your brand.

Measurement

Every automation tied to hours back or revenue recovered, agreed before we build. You know what it is worth before it exists.

/ Engagements & pricing

Discovery

$3,000 NZD fixed

Small, tightly scoped. Produces a prioritised map of where automation pays across your store's operations and what it would cost to build. A decision document, not a presentation.

Automation sprint

$5,000 to $25,000 NZD

One bounded problem, fixed price, working software at the end. Scope is locked before the build starts so there are no surprises on the invoice.

Baseline retainer

$4,000 to $8,000 NZD / month

A steady cadence through the backlog, re-prioritised against results each month. Suited to brands with a long list of manual workflows to close systematically.

Frequently asked questions

Do you only work with Shopify?
No. Shopify is the most common storefront we see, but we build against BigCommerce the same way, and the stack around the store matters just as much: Klaviyo, GA4, Stripe, Xero, and whatever inventory or fulfilment tools sit behind it. If it has an API, we can almost certainly integrate it.
Can you build and automate our Klaviyo email flows?
Yes. We wire Klaviyo directly to store events so abandoned cart, back-in-stock, and post-purchase flows run on what actually happened in the store rather than a generic trigger. Your team keeps control of the templates and the sending; the plumbing underneath is what we automate.
What does this cost?
A scoped discovery is fixed at $3,000 NZD. A bounded automation sprint runs $5,000 to $25,000 NZD depending on complexity. Monthly retainers sit between $4,000 and $8,000 NZD. Every engagement is quoted before any build begins.
How is this different from installing a Shopify app or using Shopify Flow?
Apps and Flow cover the common case and stop at the edges. Building against the API directly means the automation fits how your store runs instead of forcing the store to fit the app, and it can reach the systems apps do not, like reconciling storefront revenue into Xero.
